Welcome, I am Nasim.

I am currently on maternity leave! But when I return to work...

My passion is to help individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, perfectionism, interpersonal, parenting, and perinatal and postnatal issues. I am now also seeing couples!

My clients come to me with statements such as:

"I'm overwhelmed and not sure what to do."

"I get so frustrated and often feel like I am just not myself anymore."

"My relationships are suffering and I am afraid what will happen if I don't change soon."

I will listen to you, learn about your hardships, in addition to your values, and goals. I will gently guide you toward those goals and the desired healing by offering you insight that I have learned about you, so you can better understand why you're struggling. Using an integrative, wholistic approach, I will provide a safe space for you to share.

My clients tell me that connection with me came easily. Clients have expressed that they leave our sessions with a renewed perspective that leaves them feeling more fulfilled, confident, and empowered.

If you'd like to work with me, it will be my honour to be part of your healing journey. I am offering 10-minute free consults, to see if we are a good fit for each other.

Professional Background

I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and a member in good standing in the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). My education includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Alberta with a major in psychology and a minor in sociology. I completed my Masters of Counselling at City University of Seattle in 2022. My capstone research focused on cultural influences on parenting practices, namely co-sleeping.

I started working in the mental health field in 2016. I have helped many families navigate the impact of acute or complex trauma such as abuse and neglect. In addition, I have co-run groups with adults who have experienced sexual assault.

A lil' About My Personal Life

In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and young daughter. We like to go to the park, play board games, attend playdates, and have spontaneous dance parties!

Here is a picture of me and my daughter looking for beavers at an Edmonton park.
